Calibration FAQs

Most calibrations are completed within approximately two weeks in our Houston lab, plus shipping time to and from your location.

Yes. Calibration turnaround is typically faster than repair. Repairs may require additional troubleshooting, parts, or manufacturer coordination, which can extend timelines.

We calibrate a wide range of acoustic and vibration instrumentation, as well as microphones and accelerometers. Here is a full list of tools we service:  SC11 system, including the SC-11 interface, SC24 DC+AC Sensor, SC26 HF Sensor, Wilcoxon Accelerometers, and B&K Microphones.

We are currently in the process of ISO/IEC 17025 certification for acoustic and vibration calibration, which includes accelerometers and microphones. Our procedures are already aligned with ISO requirements, and certification is forthcoming.

We recommend annual calibration for most acoustic and vibration instruments to ensure measurement accuracy, compliance, and data defensibility.

All calibrations are performed in our Houston, Texas laboratory.

Yes. You will receive:

  • Calibration files for your records
  • A calibration certificate confirming that your equipment was calibrated by VEC

Your equipment will be shipped back after calibration is complete and we have received a purchase order (PO).

  • If you have a FedEx account, you may ship using that account.
  • If you do not have a FedEx account, shipments must be prepaid and added accordingly.

Yes. We can supply replacement equipment if needed.
Before recommending a replacement, our team will verify that the existing equipment is nonfunctional to avoid unnecessary purchases.
