DVIA-ULF Modular Series

Low-Profile, Easy-to-Install, Modular Isolators for SEMs

DVIA-ULF series modular vibration isolation system is a low-profile, cost-efficient solution for SEMs, FIBs, and Dual Beams.

Same Outstanding Performance, Smaller Package

The DVIA-ULF is a modular, ultra-low-frequency active vibration isolation platform designed for the most sensitive instruments, including electron microscopes. Its customizable, slide-in design allows for easy integration into any lab setup whether tabletop or large-scale delivering unmatched vibration control and adaptability. Ideal for high-precision environments in nanotech, materials science, and beyond.

Straightforward installation, no heavy lifting.

The DVIA-ULF isolators feature a low-profile design, with an overall height of only 86 mm, allowing direct placement under microscope bases. This side-access design eliminates the need for cranes, forklifts, or other rigging equipment during installation. Each isolator is slim enough to fit under the microscopeʼs frame, allowing side insertion with minimal clearance.

Exceptional Low & High-Frequency Active
Vibration Isolation

Using 11 geophone vibration sensors, linear motors, and passive spring isolators, the The DVIA-ULF delivers 30 – 50% vibration isolation at 1 Hz and 70 – 90% vibration isolation at 2 Hz.

UI Software for Users

Understanding the performance of vibration isolation platforms can be a challenge, as the vibrations are often too small to detect. However, our DVIA-ULF series and UI software provide a unique solution, allowing users to monitor and quantify real-time vibration isolation and floor vibration levels, ensuring a confident and informed operation.

Take a Closer Look

The DVIA-ULFʼs modular isolator units allow seamless scalability. Users can effortlessly add units tailored precisely to their microscopeʼs dimensions and weight, from compact research SEMs to large-scale TEMs. Each setup can be individually optimized according to specific weight and geometric requirements. Installation requires no extensive site preparation, making it ideal for modern cleanrooms and space-constrained laboratories. Its streamlined design integrates effortlessly into existing configurations, delivering exceptional vibration isolation even in challenging low-frequency environments.

Out-of-the-Box Feed
Forward Control

Our DVIA isolation systems are equipped with advanced feedforward controls on all models. These controls, utilizing real-time ground sensor measurements, detect and preemptively cancel vibrations before they reach the isolated mass. The dynamic control adapts seamlessly to changing vibration levels and self-optimizes, ensuring consistent outstanding performance.

Controlling Vibrations in all
Six Degrees of Freedom

Inertial sensors and electromagnetic actuators installed in the DVIA-MU700 active vibration isolation systems detect and control vibrations in three translational degrees of motion ( X, Y, and Z), and three rotational degrees of motion (pitch, roll, and yaw).

On-Site Optimization for
Better Performance

Isolator setup depends on varying factors, including the environment, location, structural characteristics of the room, and the instrument's weight distribution. VEC uses onsite data and instrument dimensions to optimize the feedback and feedforward control systems to maximize vibration isolation performance.
